I stopped by here quite a few times a few years ago when I was worked in the area and can undoubtedly say that the Alabama Peanut Company knows how to make good peanuts - who knew? APC sells it all - peanut brittle, roasted peanuts, cajun roasted peanuts, and boiled peanuts in such a large variety of flavors you never even knew existed. They also have a lot of miscellaneous Alabama souvenirs that even a local would appreciate. At the moment they're doing a curbside pickup system through their website that is easy-to-use, quick, and efficient. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Boiled and roasted peanuts - delicious local shop. Got roasted peanuts to share and some boiled to eat sooner. They always have plain, salted, and Cajun, and the day we were there they also had boiled peanuts in Old Bay - so good! Great stop for local souvenirs if you’re passing through or traveling.

An absolute Birmingham gem!! Boiled peanuts and a Coca-cola for what ails ya! Wehadthe nicestchat with the owner and the staff is friendly and welcoming...a must visit in this historic Morris Street district!!

Fresh roasted peanuts (or boiled)! Roasted, salted, extra roasted - you name it. Peanut aroma filled the car for the ride home. Made everyone hungry. "Doorway Service" - they meet you at the door and take your order. Waiting line on the sidewalk.

Our visit was just before pandemic. It was a very tourist-trap with shirts, hats and other kitsch that was interesting (we did succumb to the “southern and salty” slogan with the purchase of one hat and one shirt). What they did have was pretty impressive was multiple flavor options for your roasted peanuts and something that you don’t see every day: boiled peanuts (think peanut flavored beans that you have to shell yourself). It’s not shockingly amazing but well worth dropping in for a few minutes to check it out. I personally was hoping for a tour but they were not doing any tours that I could see.

Excellent, love this place. I stop by and pick up Boiled and Roasted peanuts every chance I pass thru Birmingham (and they're open). Everyone LOVES their boiled Jalapeño Ranch flavor. If you buy a small container, better upgrade to large, and get a second one for later or share. Because you WILL regret not buying more. Their Roasted Peanuts are 100%, the absolute best I've ever had, amazing flavor penetrates through the shell and into the nut on the inside.
