Oh man! I always love exploring ethnic restaurants where the flavors are unique, especially when they are as rare as this place, apparently the only one on the West Coast! Even the host was very sweet and pleasant (and actually speaks Lithuanian!), giving good recommendations on what to get! The flavors were homey and you can definitely tell they made everything with love! Definitely try the beer here with your food. The patio in the back was a nice experience, so you don’t have to do only takeout!

When I’m missing my friends in Lithuania this makes me feel as close as I can be there. Beer is some of the best and the food is just like being there. Staff is friendly and food is quick. If you want some filling good tasting food you must try.
Amazing Alameda restaurant. We came for lunch and had the lunchtime offering which is the half portion entree for half price. The rye bread was perfect with the house draft beer. The stuffed cabbage rolls and potato pancakes were delicious and prepared to perfection.
Great restaurant really friendly service!! Going for lunch was nice we got to sample a lot of the menu with half orders :) our favorites were the cabbage rolls which have an awesome tangy sauce and some heavy hitting flavorful spices with pickled garlic (which was a first for me and awesome!) and the summer borscht which had a nice refreshing very lightly pickled taste which was lovely. We also got to try the kvass drink which was a first and was kind of tasted like rye bread mixed with raisins! Very unique. I haven’t been to Lithuania but the restaurant reminded me a lot of my visit to Czech Republic with the very old school pub restaurants with the heavy wooden chairs and brick along with cute wooden decor. Very fun
Excellent service and food. Feels like eating at home. Everything freshly looked in a cozy ambience. Service was also fabulous. The food took a a little while to come but the taste was so authentic; the wait was worth it. Good selection of beers, appetizers and desserts.
I have been coming back to this place for the past five years. Everyone I have brought here has always enjoyed the comforting and homie but exotic food. Even better that food and services is improving with every visit. Will be back more frequently!
As we are required to shelter in place and yet want to support our independently owned restaurants, this evening we did takeout from Mama Papa Lithuania Restaurant. It was excellent! We ordered two soups and two entrees. We were too full to eat one of the entrees and will enjoy it tomorrow. The soups were still piping hot (10 minute drive home) and both were very delicious: the cream of mushroom and the borscht with mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms in both and full of flavor. Each soup came with a hearty slice of dark rye bread, also very fresh. The entree we shared was stuffed cabbage rolls with potatoes. Authentic! Every bite was like I was back at the Polish American Club in Miami! We were both very happy with our dinner and a bit stuffed ourselves! Please note the prices on their website are a bit out of date. My bill for the 4 items was 9 higher over the website prices which did seem low.
Great food and great service! I came here for lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered. The chicken goulash was awesome, and so were the potato pancakes. I definitely plan on coming back so I can try more of their dishes.
