We live in Santa Fe, but our installing plumber suggested we buy our gas log set at Builders in Albuquerque. Despite the drive, we were 100% pleased with our experience. Aside from their extensive line of Harwood log sets, this is the place to go for high-end materials to build a fireplace or purchase stone facing for your mansion. Owner Zane and his two sons are pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and run their business like a well-oiled machine.

We always try to shop local and found ourselves looking for stone at Builders Materials in ABQ. First of all, the store has some beautiful displays! Secondly, the sales rep was very helpful and was able to answer the questions that we had. We arrived on a Saturday morning, and it wasn't crowded at all, so we were able to take our time to decide on exactly what we liked. The only reason for the four star is that once we decided on a product and were ready to order, we found out that it was not in stock and had to be ordered, which was going to take 5-7 weeks. After deciding not to wait that long to start our project, we found the exact product in Mesa AZ and drove to pick it up. As for the price comparison, we saved about 100 on the product itself by going to Mesa, but not really after we paid for fuel. If it would have been available within a few days or even a week, we would have waited and just bought from Builders Materials. I would recommend buying the Coronado Stone from this company, just be sure to plan farther in advance so that they will have it in stock when you are ready.
