We recently moved into a new house with lots of wood flooring. We visited Asher's store and looked at quite a few beautiful oriental rugs. Before buying we checked out the two other rug stores in ABQ and assured ourselves that ABQ Oriental Rugs was the best choice based on the quality and selection of the rugs. But, even more importantly, Asher the owner gave us the background on the design of the rugs and was very personable and not a pushy salesman. He and his son delivered the living room and dining room rugs and layed them out. As a smart business man, he also suggested a 28 ft hallway runner and extrodinary entry way rug, that when combined with the other two really make our home more inviting and comfortable. We HIGHLY recommend Asher and his business!

I had visited ABQ Oriental Rugs several months ago as our home under construction was soon to be completed. Then once they re-opened in May, I stopped back to to be very warmly and sincerely greeted. They took the time to listen and show me their selection and I chose several 12x9 rugs that I was interested in, as well as 5x7 entry rugs for our new home to warm up the wood floors. We arranged for Asher and his crew to come over after closing with approximately 5 rugs that I chose. They arrived, moved my living room furniture and placed the ones I chose down on the floor so I could see them with my furnishings. It was truly amazing as the one we liked best in the store worked perfectly with all the furnishing and colors of my room. They also brought a few of the smaller rugs for the entry and we chose one that my husband and I really loved and it looked perfect, fit well and looks amazing! They are the most gracious men, so sincere and customer oriented in a world where customer service is a like bygone ethic. We purchased both carpets, had them cut pads and then they returned the following day to lay the pads and new rugs over them,. We are raving fans! Don't be fooled by the term "oriental" and thinking they are flowery and old word, they have plenty of more ornate rugs, yet ours are very contemporary, beautifully hand dyed, hand knotted, silk and wool rugs from India and we are forever fans of Albuquerque Oriental Rug Company!
