DO NOT USE. I used PODS for a do it yourself military move. As part of my package, and also what I was charged (80) for, we were promised weight tickets would be emailed to us. This is how we get reimbursed for the move so it’s very important to receive these. It’s now been over a month since we moved and at least 15 phone calls to pods and still no weight tickets. Each time I call, I get ahold of a low level customer service rep that does nothing to help me. I’ve been told that numerous “investigations” are being conducted and promised that they would take care of the problem by a certain date , which they have not come to even close to. Customer service has been useless, pods has not done anything to communicate to me on getting this issue solved, and I don’t think I’ll ever see my weight tickets that are required to get the move reimbursed. This is terrible form as a company and I will never be using pods again and will be telling everyone I know to never use pods for a move, especially a mil move. The fact that we were charged 80 alone for 2 weight tickets that would have been 24 if I had weighed a Uhaul at a cat scale myself is enough to keep me from going back, but the absolute and total customer service nightmare I’ve dealt with since then requires the lowest review I can give them. I would give less then 1 star if possible.

Beware! Was moving from Albuquerque to Rio Rancho and needed them to store my items for a week as i was selling my house.. Out of my 3 PODS, 1 was shipped to Florida. Took me over a week to get answers as to what happened to my missing POD and their customer service is horrible and you CANNOT call the location directly. They charged my credit card 2500 twice! And several other charges they couldn't explain. For transportation fees from Albuquerque to Florida for their mistake. Took over 2 weeks to get someone from the executive office to call me. There isn't anyone on the 1800 number available to you. Finally got my Pod on Nov 6th and as of today, Dec 11 i have still not received the refund they promised me. And Alex in the executive office keeps giving me the run around. They are an absolute joke.

Truly the worst experience ever. I had a Pod stored and delivered to Maxwell Housing a KAFB. First of all the POD was delivered way outside their estimated time window, forcing me to pay 300 for the two men I hired to unload the POD. The driver showed up with plenty excuses of why she could not park the POD on the street in front of the house. (the equipment was to old). When I booked for delivery, I scheduled a pick up for Monday 8/24/2020. Pod is still in my driveway. Speaking to Cecilia in El Salvador this morning, my estimated pick up is 8/31/2020. I want my 300.00 back and I want this POD out of my driveway today. Cecilia, again this morning had nothing but excuses, refused to give me the local number. Stay tuned, I am going to the local media with this story. This company makes up their own delivery and pick up times according to what works for them and screw what the customer is asking for. No local number to call but I will drive to the local site with the media.

A disclaimer allows the company to place the POD at the \driver's discretion\, which for us was a 25 minute drive away from our house not in the driveway as promised. Then they picked up our POD 2 days early with no notice and for no reason causing the contents to appear as if they went through a rock tumbler. In addition to my shock when I went out to pack the POD only to find the POD disappeared, there is no 24 hour help line nor GPS on the POD. So, we just didn't know where our possessions were and received zero customer service. Then, once we tracked it down the next day, because it was picked up early, boxes that had started neatly stacked but not ready for transport were smashed and strewn throughout the POD 24 hours before the real pick up date. Finally, despite all of this truly awful moving experience, the Company did not apologize, but rather offered me about a 200 credit if I sign a form barring me from leaving reviews like this one for other potential customers. We had previously moved using a long-haul carrier. I think it was Atlas? That cost us about 5,000 in 2006. We thought we'd save money and gain flexibility with PODs, but in the end, using this method cost us 4,770 once all of the ancillary costs were factored in but with a TON more work, aggravation, and anxiety on our part. PODs just isn't worth it. My dad, who worked his whole career in moving & storage always used to say, \Customer service is about how a company acts when things go wrong.\ PODs was AWOL when the many aspects of this move went wrong. Do yourself a favor, and for a long-distance move . . . (Ours was about 1,500 miles) just hire real movers.
