Had my first appointment with clinic and Dr. Mills this week. Very impressive group, from their professionalism, kindness, clinical competency, and timeliness. I can’t remember when I was actually seen by a physician at the time of a scheduled appointment. The staff here exudes a very positive vibe as if they sincerely enjoy their jobs and their patient interactions. As a retired clinician, I am very particular when choosing a new member of my care team; Dr. Mills is superlative. I cannot more highly recommend both her and Rio Grande Dermatology.

Now I know why when I arrived at this Rio Grande Dermatology that there was no one there. I didn’t have any insurance so I had to pay out of pocket of 130 they stole for they did not do anything for me. Before I left, I asked for my prescriptions that Maria Abeyta stated she already sent them to my Walgreens. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, there was never anything sent to my pharmacy. Walgreens checked for 4 days on their computer, and there was nothing there for me. My face was hurting so bad, swollen, red, horrifying pain on my face and neck of where my severe acne was. I couldn’t believe that this Maria Abeyta did not care about me for I told her I take care of a cancer patient and that we have limited income and very little to spare but she just didn’t care about my suffering, she just took the 130 callously. Maria Abeyta and her staff just take your money but give you no services. I no longer trust Rio Grande Dermatology and I will never go back to this cold and incompetent group of lazy people who can’t even do the easiest task of electronically sending prescriptions. This place is not to be trusted at all. During my visit with Maria Abeyta as she was recommending me medicine which I never got, she stated that it will make my nose bleed, stomach bleeding, and tearing of the skin as some of the side effects of her prescriptions. She laughed after telling me what the medications will do to my face and body. She was laughing and chuckling underneath her face mask like she was gonna jack me up. I would never go back to this place with or without insurance. Maria Abeyta and her crew at Rio Grande Dermatology can take my 130 to the abyss with them cause I am not going to be there. Karma is coming to Rio Grande Dermatology, please run and avoid this awful place. Before Maria Abeyta and her nurse jack you up, they will be laughing and chuckling underneath their face mask while looking you. RUN!!!!!

I had my first appointment today and five stars are not enough! This was the best experience I've ever had at a Doctors appointment. The front desk ladies were all very friendly and kind. When I scheduled my appointment they gave me the best direction and advised me to visit their web site to print the new patient forms which made the check-in process quick and easy. The Doctor was wonderful and I really felt like she genuinely cared about my well being. I must say the most impressive part is everyone was so friendly and kind. It was obvious that everyone enjoyed their jobs and each other.

Very rude front desk staff. Wouldn't let me help my elderly mother who has mobility issues.

I made an appointment to be seen at Rio Grand Dermatology. I got my appointment. I received a text the morning of my appointment. I arrived at my appointed time a few minutes early. Their front door was locked so I called. A receptionist answers, gets my information, and asks me if I am in Rio Rancho. I said yes, at your front door. She says we’ve moved and google is sending everyone to the wrong office. Obviously this is a known issue. When I made my appointment, maybe it could have been discussed with me. When I got a text the morning of my appointment, it could have been included in the text as my dentists office did when they moved. Why would Dr’s office not value the time of their patients? Again, this was addressed as a known issue after the fact. Reactive is nowhere near the same quality as pro active. I sent an email to the office asking for a response as to why they did not handle my appointment better. Again, a known issue.
