Best steak in Santa Cruz! We enjoy all the food and drinks here. One of our favorite spots on the central coast. Great bartenders and friendly wait staff. Wonderful wine selection and a fully professionally stocked bar. Top notch - eat here now!

Menu limited as they were "out of a lot of things" due to a busy weekend. You would think that what they did do would be perfect, but the scallops had a lot of grit in them. And when we let the staff know, they simply stated they would "let the chef know", though he was working the dining room the whole time and never said a word to us. After so long in quarantine, this was incredibly disappointing.

I had a great experience here. I was fortunate to get a table. It was outside but the torches helped. Madison was waiting the tables by my area. When he got to me, he was very accommodating. I had a long day and didn't care about budget but I also didn't know what I should pick on the menu. Naturally, I asked for his suggestions. All of his suggestions were spot on. Had a passion fruit mocktail to start. It was excellent. Then got 8oz of A5, Hen of the Wood, and Steak Frites. It did take time for the food to prepare but it was worth it. I couldn't stop eating. Was curious about dessert despite being full, and had the Raspberry Dream Sundae as per his suggestion. Worth it - had no clue I even had room for it! After my meal, I shared my thoughts on some inconsistencies I found on two of the A5 pieces on my plate. Madison was able to share those concerns to management and they took care of that for me. I appreciate that. During my interaction w/ Madison, there was a heckler who was shouting at the direction of the restaurant. He gave me context as to why that may be the case. I also appreciate that. I did not mind the expense. At all. I will be back here. To the Alderwood management - give Madison a pat on the back and then some. He made a great impression of the restaurant and what it stands for.

Hen of the woods was spectacular, as was the green salad and the crispy crab sandwich. Incredible culinary experience. Service was fantastic. Will definitely come back here the next time we are in town!

Despite getting 3 shipments a week, they run out of their 2.00 happy hour oysters on the half shell by evening. They do have oysters in the evening for 4.50. They do not serve bread nor allow you to bring you own.

Amazing place, food, and service. All of the staff was super friendly and the food is worth the expensive price! You won't regret it the chefs do an incredible job and the food is amazing quality:)
