I've been riding at River Chase Farm since the beginning of August. The lesson horses are fantastic, all the trainers are wonderful, professional, and caring. I started teaching my retired polo horse to jump and the progress he has made over the course of these last few months are amazing. I am so glad to call this place home. River Chase Farm is a place full of fun, loving, charismatic individuals with a love for horses. I couldn't see myself anywhere else.

I've been riding here for over a year and it's my favorite of the three barns I've taken lessons at in the DMV. It's organized, lessons run on time, the lessons horses are well mannered and well taken care of, the crew that maintains the farm is on top of it and the head of the team, Luis, is always willing to lend a hand. Tom is a great instructor. He is politely persistent that you push yourself as a rider, he breaks concepts down to help fill in your knowledge gaps and develop your skill, and he always emphasis safety (for the horse and the rider). Scheduling is clear, flexible, and responsive. The best part of their lesson program is that private lessons use a radio headset enabling the instructor and rider to communicate instantly, even when you're at the far end of the ring. Never having to shout \what did you say?!\ is reason enough to ride here. Can't wait for my daughter to start taking lessons here!

As a true equine fanatic, one always has dreams as a kid of scenic rolling hills, long driveways, paddocks full of horses of every color and a stable like you see in the European countryside. River Chase Farms is exactly that, a dream set in reality. Two years ago, I drove up River Chase Farms lined with trees and I cannot describe how vivid that picture became for me. Since day one, Tom the owner and head trainer was beyond accommodating to my horse and I, making sure we had all necessities taken care of and settling us in. His barn team take fantastic care of the horses daily and are extremely attentive. As someone who knows the Northern Virginia equine scene well, River Chase Farms is a gem among them in that they specialize in the ultimate care, training and connection. I have never felt like an average boarder and treated like a number. I take lessons with Tom and believe me, he is incredibly knowledgeable, has a keen eye for details, issues and how to make the slightest improvements. He has helped me develop a better seat, improve my horsemanship and establish a stronger connection with my horse. For years I have searched for a trainer who was humble, experienced and most importantly, cared about the health of you and your horse. I cannot say enough good things... Give yourself a therapy away from home-go for a trail ride, take a lesson in the Olympic sized indoor ring with Tom or do what your heart desires. If you are looking for a place to board, train or just a place to feel renewed- go tour the property, meet Tom/the crew and fellow boarders. For me, and I want the best quality of life for my horse and a place I feel connected to. I promise you that you too will be calling this place home.

River Chase Farm has been a big part of my growing up for over 13 years. I love this barn and it truly is a big family. The people who work there care deeply about the well being of the horses and rider. Tom is an amazing horseman who has taught me so much over the years. The barn staff are always working diligently to ensure the barns and fields are in top shape and anybody who says anything else is not to be trusted. Top quality care is their number one priority from lesson horses to private boarders. I have seen so many horses come in skinny and within a few months have completely changed bodies. The farm offers a wide variety of feeds to meet every nutritional need of the horse and the staff is very willing to help with any special request. I feel completely confident in having my horse here because I know she is always in the best care. It’s the small things like this that add up. I have found no other facility to come close to what this farm has given me and my horses over the years.
