Alexandria Shelter is remarkable clean,orderly and safe with proficient knowledgeable caring staff.Wes,Mr Richard,MS.Chew,Deneen,MS.Miller Ms Shephard display Professional ism care and compassion.They have children and families present.They feed breakfast lunch and dinner.They have recently had new case management hires that will assist with temp re housing into a room within 30 days.There is a DHS and detox located on the premises and if need be referrals can be done for entry.They offer emergent weekend placement for safe rest.They ensure if you do have conflict they will mediate and resolve.Their fair and ethical.They do administer drug UA but there is one female staff on weekends that do not know how to administer and collect a proper UA.They have a sign in and out sheet and offers employment based and housing info boards.

Didn't reside ever but, I figured that if I needed to go to a shelter even if it was closed when I needed to go I would wait till it opened. That's why I put 24 hours because a roof over your head sometimes is what matters most in life. Also what's convenient about this shelter is that there are meetings you could go to to think, rethink, or talk about your sobriety.
It has a comfortable beds and the food is good
