Went to Bastille for the first time last night with my wife for her birthday. - The food was excellent. We had mushroom veloute, escargot, & seared scallops w/risotto. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Apps and entrees came out very quickly. The house made ice cream, sorbet, and banana dessert (forget the name of the dish) were also good. - Our sever (I believe her name is Kristen) did a fantastic job of taking care of us. She was attentive, outgoing, and gave the experience a nice personal touch. Made good menu and special recommendations. - We made a reservation ahead of time, the table was ready to go as soon as we came in and we were seated immediately. The waitstaff made sure to wish my wife a happy birthday and even had a handwritten card for her, which was greatly appreciated. - My only suggestion to the restaurant is that the complimentary table bread would be better if served warm. Overall it was a lovely experience and I would recommend trying this restaurant if you are in NOVA and want to have some great french food. We will definitely come back and try out some of the other dishes next time!

Went here for resturant week.... I tried escargot for the first time, I was amazed at how good it was. Then I had the scallops with risotto, the scallops were cooked to perfection. Then for dessert I had the roulade de noisettes, it was out of this world perfect blend of flavors and textures.
Prime rib, half chicken, homemade asparagus soup, heavenly potatoes, carrots, on and on and on. French food is one of our favorites, and this was perfect. The desserts were also amazing. I'm a total sucker for Hummingbird Cake and I ate my piece nice and slow savoring the carrots, bananas, and that cream cheese frosting.
Fine cuisine and excellent choice of wines. The ambiance is also great. Come and check for yourself, you'll love it.
Tried out Bastille with a friend for the first time during restaurant week in September 2020. The staff is super attentive, a ton of wine options, lots of delicious food. I loved the paella they served, as well as escargot. The creme brûlée was standard.
