In response to owner: I do have a copy of the receipt. I have attempted to attach it here but can e-mail a copy as well. I went here and was so excited for a nice date night. The facility is beautiful and cozy. My boyfriend and I paid 60 dollars each for a plate of poorly seasoned steak and COMPLETELY raw scallops. Drinks were okay, and I liked the server except the fact that she didn't give us an itemized receipt, which already included a 20% tip for a table of two. In doing so, it seems that attempted to get double the tip. Over 220 dollars spent for what we hoped would be an excellent experience. We won't be back again.

Accepted our reservation for the day after Valentine's over a month in advance. Confirmed our reservation the day before. Cancelled our reservation the night before without warning or notice. Nobody responded to my messages. Unbelievably bad customer service. Anybody want to guess how hard it is to find somewhere else to eat on Valentine's weekend? This restaurant looked good, but nobody should ever go here if this is how they treat their customers. Absolutely awful.

This place is amazing! The food is simply delicious from the homemade cocktail to the homemade desert. I believe everything is homemade which is pretty rare in our days and you can taste it. You can see how talented are the chef. I’m French from France and I highly recommend this great place. Also the staff is wonderful very friendly and warm. The restaurant is very spacious so you can feel safe with Covid plus they have as much as outdoor space and inside space which is incredible! We’ll be back for sure!

The restaurant is large and well-appointed on the inside including an art gallery area for both paintings and sculptures. It was a nice treat to view this area with a glass of wine of which there is a huge selection. The outside seating area is also large and is part of bigger quad area with trees and a center water fountain. Given the nice weather during the visit, this setup makes for a quiet and serene dinning experience. There is nothing else really like it in the Old Town area. There is no traffic noise or exhaust fumes as with the eateries along King Street. The food quantity, quality and preparation were outstanding with the main course being the New York Strip steak. Even though steaks can be ordered plain, several sauces are offered. The Cognac Peppercorn sauce is highly recommended and paired well with the red wine. The Brussels Sprout side dish was uniquely prepared allowing the seared balsamic flavor to be evenly distributed. The dessert were the Profiteroles with a flaky pastry and vanilla bean ice cream very reminiscent of the type offered in France. The accompanied warm sauce was made with a large amount of dark chocolate providing an intense flavor when poured over the cream filled pastry. Bistro Sancerre is unique in the Old Town area and will be visited again.

I was very happy with the variety on the menu and the crab cakes are as good as advertised. The lamb was very tasty with the sauce that was on the special menu for new years. The service was nice and work with you to give you the dish you desire. Very nice inside but will point out . no outside heaters
