I love the holiday card selection at Penny Post. I'm always on the hunt for the most snarky cards to send to my bestest of friends. The holidays are always full of sentimentality, but laughter - especially after being separated all of 2020 - is definitely needed. My online shopping process was easy and seamless.

I love, love, love this independent card store that is also filled with the perfect little gifts. The staff is amazing and I cannot ever enter without leaving with something. Please support local. Trust me shopping here is always a wonderful experience.

The store worker was rude and huffy as soon as I walked in. I wanted to see a sticker book and she didn’t even hand it to me, just flicked though it for 5 secs. Customer service was horrible. I checked yelp and other people seem to have experienced this too. Shopping while black I suppose. Glad I didn’t purchase anything, I would’ve regretted giving my money to such a horrid place. Word to the wise, when reading good reviews don’t trust them entirely if most of the reviewers aren’t poc. Funny how social justice posters were carried in the store too. Will buy my stationary somewhere else. Greer Chicago is an awesome black owned stationary business. If this makes you uncomfortable, question why? Why should micro aggressions be hidden in the name of white, privileged comfort?

A fanciful stationery store in the heart of Old Town. Why visit the P---- place when you can feel like you're in your own studio?! Paper, and pens, and pencils oh, my. There's a loyalty club to join for discounts, a good thing because quality writing equipment costs more than a penny. This place is adorable and fun, down to the postmark themed shopping bags. Only thing better would be a journaling lounge where I can test out my new ink.
