Okay so I've always heard great things about this restaurant but i've never been. A true meal made for someone who loves flavors that aren't overwhelming, a dish that is seasoned well and an experience worthwhile. I would definitely come back here again and try some other add ons.

For what it is, the food is delicious, albeit a bit greasy. The portion for the large is good, it filled me up. The value is decent for the quality, and the restaurant itself is fairly clean and well lit. I ordered the regular pepper beef in large. I didn't get anything special with it. It was very good. I enjoyed every bite of it. Could I have eaten more? The other people in my group added cheese, which added a creaminess to it, as well as some crispy texture for the cheese that dried onto the sizzling plate. Another person got the burger meat, which was very soft, which I didn't like. It wasn't undercooked, it was just very soft beef patty. Almost weirdly soft. The egg is a nice addition to the rice. I would get that next time. Overall a 5.

The best. I haven't had this restaurant in over 13 years in Tokyo Jp. To see it and enjoy it in California is refreshing and wonderful! The food was amazing and nostalgic!

I visited this place during the pandemic, there were only 3 tables available for dine in service. So be prepared to wait if you are intending to go there during lunch/dinner hours. Ordered two combo meals. Each combo meal came with a side and a soda. I was really impressed with their onion rings and fries. They had a very light and crispy batter (not oily), yummy. Dishes came on sizzling hot plates. I thought my curry karate chicken was ok, but my wife's two item: angus steak and salmon were perfect.

I'm a really big fan of their ordering system. You place your order at the kiosk and they bring you the food. The food is quite tasty for the price and I like how it's up to you how you want to cook the meat. Pepper Lunch is definitely a welcomed addition to the San Gabriel Valley. Fast, affordable, and delicious.
