A groovy place for for groovy grooves and finding exactly what you need. There are reasonably priced starter equipment, and if you'd like to shell out for something more expensive you always know you are getting what you paid for. The staff are highly experienced and some have worked with well known musicians, they know their instruments, and will answer your questions in depth. There selection may not be as large as your average corporate, \guitar center\ - that's because they aren't your average guitar center. The only draw back is you might go in expecting to come back out in 20 minutes tops; just to find yourself spending an hour checking out all the unique instruments and talking to the friendly owner and staff.

This place rocks! It has that special touch that Guitar Center just doesn't have. A few examples: -I called about a particular set of strings for my 5 string bass and they special ordered them for me. Came in about 3 days, I paid for a restring and the tech also polished my guitar body, oiled my fret board, and adjusted the action on my B string for free! I used to have trouble keeping that string in tune but it's so much more accurate now. -I called about a particular cable to connect my guitar to my audio interface. They held one for me at the counter and when I arrived, asked further use case questions so they could determine if I needed a mono or stereo cable. I was up and recording that same night with no further issues. -I lost both the washer and the nut to the audio jack on my bass. I brought my bass in and the guys here replaced it for me free of charge. Everyone here is so helpful and knowledgable. If the above is the level of expertise and customer service I can expect, there's no need for me to go anywhere else. Highly recommended

Hadnt been to Mr Music in a while since I moved to the other side of the city but decided to bring my bass guitar down there to get some work on it. Not even 24 hours later and I have my bass back and in the best shape its been in since I bought it new. But the main reason im compelled to write a review is I was kinda blown away by the thoroughness of their overall customer service. the guy who helped me Ezra showed genuine interest in my bass and what could be done to optimize it and was just really friendly and professional about the whole thing. and the work done was A.

I started shopping at this place when I was maybe 16. I Don't get over there much these days, as I don't live closeby. Still a decent local music store with a good selection of new and used guitars, amps, ukuleles, pedals and sundries. Bought a basic EHX looper, and Steve helped me out and showed me how to use it. Good service. Decent price. Worth checking out, especially seeing as GC has gotten so damn depressing and awful.
