Travis was an amazing help. He was kind and very informative. This was a very cool store with a ton of great used equipment. From rock climbing to camping and bicycles. We picked up a sick bike for my son for 20. Thanks travis we will definitely be returning.
Best gear shop around. Don't you dare go to Big 5 before this shop. Unless you want lower quality for higher pricing. Plus the owners are some of the most knowledgeable people in regards to the Sierra nevadas. If you are here to visit our back yard, Go talk to and help support this shop. They represent this town and actively organize clean ups to keep our mountain trails trash free. Spend your money at Alpenglow!
Just went in to check it out, but this place is great. Even left making a purchase for the good deal.
Guys were very friendly and they had a good selection of used gear. Also had a cool dog in the store. They got me my jet boil fuel and that was what I needed. Also suggested some good food nearby when I asked.
The best place for climbing and outdoor gear in Oakhurst. New and used gear at great prices. Owners who know the gear and the area well.
Fantastic experience! I didn't catch the name of the worker, but be was SO nice and helpful! I needed rope for hiking the half dome cables and not only did he have the perfect rope/caribiner he also tied the knots for me and had me practice using my gear before we left to make sure I was comfortable! Highly recommend!
Great little specialty gear thrift shop with a wide array of outdoor supplies. They have a nice arrangement of high quality used camping, hunting, fishing, clothing, footwear, hiking, climbing, biking and winter sports gear. Store is clean and organized and the shop owner is more than happy to offer help and local info. Both owners (Travis and Russ) have a wealth of knowledge of local trails and climbing routes. They even have a kid's section! A must stop shop for anyone heading up to the great outdoors!
