Please beware of the teacher's in the lower elementary classes. They proclaim at this AIA, Montessori school that they follow the child at their pace as recommended in the Montessori method. But they do not. Instead the teacher in lower elementary diagnoses and labels students with learning disabilities, memory issues and recollection of information. The teacher nor the director provide development plans for your child nor extra tutoring instead they have affiliations with Therapy companies that come out and evaluate the students. Do not invest your hard earned money, child's education and time into this school. We as parents made a poor decision to have our daughters go to this school here.

It was a very bad experience. The teacher didn’t handle well a situation were my son didn’t want to an activity and she punished him for 30 min with out playground and made him work for that time. And when I talked with the director. Dhe was not supported at all
My 2 children attend this school and have had a wonderful experience here. The small class sizes and individualized attention has helped them to flourish as students and as human beings. We had them in public school for a couple of years but brought them both back here to complete elementary school and it has been the best decision we could have made for them. Every teacher and staff member here is 100% focused on giving each child the best education in a loving, community environment. It has truly become a second family to us.
The teachers are so friendly and great with the kids. I've seen my children doing things way ahead of where I thought they'd be.
I am so happy I discovered Alpharetta International Academy during my search for a preschool for my son. He started in one of the pre-primary classrooms this past fall and has thrived there. The school follows a Montessori-based curriculum, so there is an emphasis on children working at their own pace and building independence. This was important to me as the parent of a toddler, and I have been amazed at the progress my son has made over the course of a year. I have had the opportunity to meet the founder of the school, the head of the school, and visit my son's classroom on multiple occasions. Each interaction with faculty and staff has reinforced my decision that AIA is the place for our family. The teachers and staff are extremely professional and well qualified, but more importantly they are sincerely caring and nurturing individuals. Everyone there genuinely seems to love children and be invested in helping them learn and grow. My son LOVES going to school each day, and I love the fact that he is in such a safe and supportive environment. This school is a true gem.
