I have been a client of Hoffman Financial for about three years. While searching something else on the internet, I saw a link to reviews about them so I clicked on it. Most of the reviews were stellar, as I expected. However, a couple were less than that, and I feel I should offer my two cents. As I said, I have been with them for a while and Eric Johnson has been my advisor for the entire time. He has guided my portfolio through some very trying economic times with great success. In fact, I can say I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a firm to work with, I highly recommend Hoffman, and I strongly recommend Eric.

About thirty-six months ago an old friend asked me to join him at a meeting with Mr. Chris Hoffman. Both of us are in our 50's; young enough to make a some retirement moves, but running out of time fast. We both have been employed thirty years with a major corporation in the Atlanta area. He and I often have discussions about retirement and agreed that we needed to look for creative ways to invest. Our company has a great 401K plan within the Fidelity investment platform. This plan also offers financial advice. We met with Mr. Hoffman, and during this initial meeting we asked some difficult questions. Specifically, what could he do for us that was different from our current advisor, how will you go about it, are you a fiduciary, what rates of return will you aim for, and of course, what are the fees. Mr. Hoffman answered all of these questions to my satisfaction. Consequently, I decided to place my portfolio under Mr. Hoffman's management. During subsequent meetings Mr. Hoffman told me he would put a short term plan together that we review and revisit every three to four months. We have done that without fail. My second goal is more long term, and he has assisted me with how to transition the long term goals into my retirement years. I was very pleased that Mr. Hoffman is a fiduciary. In addition, I was very comfortable with the fact that Mr. Hoffman can operate within the Fidelity platform. This allowed me to leave my investments with Fidelity. Like with all investment decisions the amount of return is dependent on the amount of risk one is willing to take. Mr. Hoffman has made it easy for me to take the risks based upon my retirement goals. I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for professional, spot on investment advise, that you make the call to Chris Hoffman. I am glad I did!

Previously to the Hoffman Group, my wife and I used the services of 2 other advisors. After much disappointment, we scheduled an appointment with Chris. We met for our initial meeting, discussed what we did not like about the last 2 companies then Chris laid out a map for our individual needs in retirement. We are going on 4 years now with Chris and his group and could not be more happier with the performance of our portfolio. When a concern comes up, Chris either answers the phone or calls us back in a reasonable time frame to explain the why of his actions. We recommend The Hoffman Group for all your financial needs.

I decided as a 40 year old that I should have a financial advisor, and stop managing my retirement and savings alone. I chose Hoffman, based on their show on 95.5 FM. I used to listen to their program on the way to work, and loved that they charge fees based on performance and said they would contact you quarterly to discuss your assets. Their office is beautiful. Eric, my advisor, was very personable. However, it took me 22 painstaking years to slowly earn the 220,000 I gave them to manage, and it took a little less than 2 years to lose 30,000, at a time when my peers, including luckily my husband, were having 4-8% returns. Only when I threatened to leave did they finally agree to lower the 100's of dollars in advisors fees there were making every month on my losses. At the same meeting, I was told Eric would take action by doing \X\ and \y\ to help correct the losses. Why wasn't that done preventatively? I thought that's what I was paying someone for! I had an analysis done, and if I'd just left the funds in the vanguard account I was initially in, I would have come out even, rather than down thousands. Luckily, I have some working years to try and correct this. My money has been moved out of Hoffman, a process that they made exceeding difficult. It took weeks to do when it should have taken a couple days. But it's done, and I will recover. Please don't make a similar mistake!
