Nice easy hike. With a fair amount of shaded areas. Specially when you take the river with rocks that currently has no water. There are tree canopies above. Very minimal elevation. We were also lucky to have clouds covering the sun earlier in the morning.

I’m happy that I have to get reservation now. Feels safer in a number of ways and much less people.

First time here. Loved it. Love the little river and waterfall. Would do again.

The hike to the fall was a lot of fun. It took about 40 min each way. Parking was easy and free but a reservation is requires

This is a lovely canyon walk, easy walking most of the way, with a few stream crossings and boulder scrambles. The first half mile is exposed, but once inside the canyon the air is much cooler. Interesting rock faces rise steeply on both sides, vegetation changes from chaparral to riparian. The falls themselves are about 40 feet, splashing into a shallow pool. People walked in to get a shower from the falls. Great 3.5 mile out and back! During COVID reservations are required.
