I have been living here since they opened, I signed my lease before it was even finished! We changed hands soon after, but I have yet to have a bad experience. The reason I decided to leave a review is because my washer went out, I called, maintenance was there in 30 minutes! We thought the washer was fixed, but sadly it was not. I called the next day, they were there again! He even liked my dog and didn't make me kennel him. Unfortunately they had to order a part and it would take several days to get in. They gave me a key to an empty close by apartment to wash my clothes!!!! How AWESOME IS THAT!!!! most places would say sorry go to the laundry mat across the way. So GOOD JOB Altair!!!

Overall, I enjoyed the year I was there. I had issues with both management teams, but will only speak on the current one. My rating is more for management than the actual apartment itself. I had an attached garage so I didn’t have to worry about my car or my safety. But one night, right after Roscoe took over, my garage wouldn’t open so I was locked out of my home (my other entrance was locked from the inside via deadbolt). I called the emergency maintenance number and had to go back and forth with them for TWO HOURS before I was let in. I had to be up for work around 4 am and it was after 10 when I was let in. The next day, I was still angry so I went to the office to complain and they apologized but essentially did nothing. They could’ve at least offered me something off the next month’s rent, a gift card, some coffee, ANYTHING for the inconvenience. I wasn’t looking for a handout, but that incident didn’t sit well with me then and never will. Moments like that give people an opportunity to show their humanity and customer service and they failed miserably. The apartments are way over priced for the location. They’re nice, but still too much. If you have a neighbor that has the speakers in their wall, you will hear every word to every song they play. I never heard anything from the neighbors beside me, but I could hear the neighbors upstairs talking and laughing. That didn’t bother me especially since I couldn’t hear them walking or anything. The crickets. I know crickets are everywhere during a certain time of the year, but in my 3 years in Austin and 3 apartments, that was the only one where I had an infestation. Yuck. I’m not gonna say don’t live here, cause I did like my place, but be cautious. It’s really about which issues actually bother you and disturb your peace in your home.

Overall, I really enjoyed living here! The amenities are spectacular and the location is really convenient. We LOVED our floor plan (A3)! It had an AMAZING kitchen and the price is great for a 20 minute drive to downtown. I did, however, experience a handful of issues/concerns. The property is beautiful, but not frequently kept up with by the maintenance staff. There's often trash, broken glass, etc. left out for a week or more and the actual buildings themselves look much older than 1-2 years old because they are not regularly cleaned/painted (once in the 13 months I have lived here). Although the community is gated, the gates are often broken or open. Burglaries and car break-ins are frequent, and I haven't seen much of a response from management to address the issue - I would be happy to see more cameras, patrols, or the gates fixed to combat this.

I love Alta Tech Ridge! Everyone who works on the property is very friendly and easy-going. My spacious apartment (A2) was clean when I arrived in May! No other apartment complex in the Austin area can beat ATR's amenities--bike repair shop, dog spa dog park (if only I had a dog), pool with awesome cabanas and chairs, grills, a cute lil beer garden with picnic tables and fountain, gym, and a conference room. ATR is very close to I-35 and the grocery restaurants Walgreens/CVS. The grounds are kept up multiple times a week. Also, I feel very safe living here. I had a small maintenance request and someone was out to my unit within 1 hour. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you, ATR. Y'all are awesome. I attached a couple photos from my A2 apartment.
