My brother was in this detention center, he was a mental ill for over 30 years. He was held in this detention center and was treated horrible, he was not feed properly which result in him losing about 50 lbs over a small period of time. ( He was staved to death) They released him knowing he was to weak to survive on streets. We founded out that he was very cold in this detention center. By him been a mentally ill the guards would laugh at him because of his illness. My mother saw one if the guards in the courts room laughing at her mentally challenged son.Of course my brother would be hollering because he would be hungry and cold but the guards did not care. My brother was in court on Friday April 20, 2018 and my mother was in court with him and this detention center released my mentally ill brother on the next day which was April 21, 2018 and did not let my mother know that they was releasing him on the next day. They released him out of the streets cold, hungry and mentally ill person, he walked the streets all day Saturday and Sunday and by the way it rained all day Sunday. They found my brother dead on Monday morning on April 23rd 2018. This detention center is horrible do not let your family go to this detention center, they treat dogs better than treat humans. This is how the State Of South Carolina treat mentally ill people. But I know karma will get a hold on those that mistreated and hurt my brother M.

It may be a 24 hour facility, but don't get locked up late at night. They say they open the door at a certain time for you to get person out but yet was told give a few more minutes. Yea, he did the crime but still at 4am I rather be home than sitting in parking lot.
