When I think of sitting down for a good meal on the island, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather go. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and the Ono Bowl - so good. If you can't get a reservation, go early. Or, just wait; it's worth it.
tonight my table was kicked out of the restaurant because “our replacement has arrived.” we were told at least three times by the host, not our server that we needed to leave and we had 15 minutes left before we needed to be out of the restaurant. it was really disrespectful to ask us to leave halfway through our dinner. if the 90 min limit was truly that important, it should be emphasized as you make a reservation that you will be told to leave even if you are not finished with dinner. i used to work as a server and the limit was always 2 hours, if you have the opportunity to make adjustments, you should change the 90 min to 120 min in order to get better tips for the servers so they do not have to tell a table they must leave. despite the service, the food was fantastic and until this experience i have always had a good time at ama’s.
Absolutely amazing! The host managed to squeeze us in when we arrived at 5pm and I'm so very thankful as I'm so glad we got to experience this place. The food was the perfect amount, no left overs but filling. I loved the cashu ramen broth, radish, and shiitake mushrooms. I got the hoki drink and wanted another! Highly recommend
Food was far below average. Completely tasteless. Staff, ambiance and location is amazing, however.
Overall good. Very unorthodox ramen broth. Too light. But I would go back.
