Life Challenge(Amarillo’s Teen Challenge)is a wonderful faith based center for men struggling with drugs and alcohol. The guys spend part of the day in class, and part of the day doing work around the center or helping in the community. They are taught how to be productive members of the community, as well as learn valuable life skills. Wonderful ministry to be part of!

I was an employee for Life Challenge for almost a year and a half and saw the life changing power of Jesus Christ work through this ministry in incredible ways. The director does a lot of hard work behind the scenes to support and aid the students who genuinely want to change their lives. The staff is faithfully dedicated to their goal of directing students to freedom from the bondage of addiction through Jesus Christ and producing productive members of society who not just make an honest living but also serve their community.
I was a student at LC for 367 days. This is the mechanism God used to completely turn my life around. It was the hardest and best thing I've ever been a part of. Praise God for this ministry. I've seen with my own eyes and felt with my own soul the redeeming power of Christ. He infiltrated every aspect of my being, and He wants to do the same for everybody....if you will let Him. I was a full blown pill addict for a decade. I've been clean for almost 3 years now. I have a career, a marriage, a family, and most importantly a new identity in Christ Jesus. All of this had it's genesis at Life Challenge. Please surrender your life to Him!! Legalism never saved anyone. The Judiazers and the Pharisees tried to push that on followers of Christ. Paul called this false gospel an apostasy. The Law doesn't save, it points to He who saves...the Lord Jesus and His Gospel!
Life challenge is a Christian based ministry to help men learn how to win any sin battle through Christ by submitting to Him and His word. The people and the leaders give their time and love in submission to what Christ has asked of them. Success will come to those who accept Christ as their savior and fully submit to His will for their life, follow the guidelines and learn to live for Christ fully by dying to self and living for Christ, minute by minute of each day with constant confession, prayer and repentance when they stumble. I have been a part of Life Challenge ministry for the past six months. I have seen men come here that were not really ready to surrender their will to God and thus did not last. I have seen others come in with the same addictions and struggles but had gotten to the point in their life that they understood they could not make the changes on their own and were done playing games.
