Meet Lucky! She made herself at home already!

I adopted a beautiful puppy from this shelter. She is perfect and I had a good experience with staff, but she came home absolutely crawling with fleas, had worms, and was sick. When I took her to the vet she immediately tested positive for parvo which she must have caught at the shelter since they told me she tested negative when she arrived there 10 days prior. To the shelter's credit, they offered to treat her for free if I brought her to them, but at this point I did not trust their medical care and chose to leave her with my own vet and pay out of pocket. I was also given insufficient instructions on care for her spay scar- the vet told me she needed to be in a cone. The vet also diagnosed her with mange and she had a small fungal infection on her head.

If I could give it less stars I would. The front lady was incredibly rude and the rules for adoption were not on the website which made trying to adopt the dog a multifaceted process that was much more complicated and they have no restrictions for adoption but will show favoritism towards certain households which is how we couldn't adopt a dog because when a dog is being looked at for adoption they will let other people attempt to adopt the dog a family yesterday was way past their appointment and don't tell you when and when you can't adopt. To whoever adopted Marley. Please enjoy your new furry friend he was an incredibly fun dog and I'm glad he is going to you all you all seem fantastic. To the staff my words to you are. Stop showing favoritism. Stop being blatantly discriminatory. And for the love of everything holy wear your masks right.

We adopted a puppy from ARF and enjoyed the experience. They were friendly and patient even though they were ready to close.

We have adopted quite a few dogs from ARF over the years, never had a bad experience what so ever, Sharon has always been very professional and very caring about every animal that has come through her shelter, I highly recommend that anyone looking to adopt a pet of your own to go see her, sit down and have a meet and greet first to make sure that the pet you're about to adopt is the right one for you.
