This past weekend I completed the Wilderness skills course and am delighted with my experience. The course was immensely informative. I can’t possibly offer enough praise for the guides, Parker and Nick. They are extremely well informed and eager to share their knowledge and experiences and exceeded expectations across the board. It was clear they genuinely cared that clients were engaged and that learning had occurred, and were happy to supplement or tailor learning to individuals to make for an inclusive learning environment. The positive and enthusiastic attitude of the guides made for an enjoyable adventure even in suboptimal conditions. I definitely feel more capable after my time with AAI and will absolutely be returning for higher level learning. I wholeheartedly thank you for your time and effort gentlemen.

I did the 12 day AMTL 1 and it was exactly if not more than I expected. It was challenging and educational, and didn’t skip a beat on covering something new each day. Mike Riley was my guide and he was patient and chill with the learning experience and allowed each of to struggle when needed. Plus you just can’t beat the variety of terrain you can cover in the North Cascades, from glaciers, to awesome crags, with exceptional alpine rock objectives like the Winter Spires. I’m headed back for AMTL 2 and excited as heck.

Great guides and even better teachers... I highly recommend AAI for any educational or guided trips.

I bought a jacket that was on sale for my wife yesterday. I had her try it on but the fit wasn’t quite right so I took it back this morning. It had all the original tags attached to the jacket and was in the same exact condition as when I bought it. They would not take it back for a refund, “because it was on sale”. The sales person’s response in a smug tone was, “We aren’t REI!” That’s for sure. There was no policy posted in the store that would have warned me about this. I truly love to support local small business but I won’t be supporting this one ever again.

Have hired many guides over the years for fishing and climbing and this crew was the best, hands down. The 6 day Baker Alpinism class was a great course with a summit on Baker. The guides Ben, Lani, Jodi and Lee were truly fantastic. Adjusting the level of instruction to the individuals on the course and pushing the group to ensure we all had a wonderful and complete experience. The four guides clearly had great chemistry and made the class fun while displaying professionalism and concern for our safety throughout. A real group of professionals, I would highly recommend the course to anyone interested in developing their skills in the mountains. Will be looking to them for professional services in the future.

I had SUCH a great time. My instructor and and everyone else I dealt with were fantastic. They are taking all precautions during these Covid times. Will definitely do another trip with this company! Edited to add: Just received a free t shirt in the mail that I wasn't expecting. Thanks guys! It's a cool shirt
