We joined them for the manatee snorkeling trip, and it was absolutely worth it. Not only did we see a good number of them, but quite a few other varieties of fish were present. The visibility was amazing, except when other members of our group kicked the floor and stirred up sand. They provided all the necessary gear and the boat ride from the dock to the snorkel site. However, do note that they *may* ask you to leave your fins behind, because they do not want to risk stirring up the water and disturbing the manatees. It's completely understandable, especially if there are people who are not comfortable with fins. However, if you are experienced, they will likely allow you to bring them in the water so long as you frog kick only (no scissor kicking). So if you're a diver and prefer fins, just make sure you've got your frog kicks in shape. As far as the process goes, you arrive at the dive shop thirty minutes before the scheduled time to sign paperwork, get your wetsuit on, and get your mask, snorkel, and fins. You then watch a *very exciting* government-produced video that essentially tells you all the ways you shouldn't bother manatees for eight minutes (do not kick the manatees, do not poke the manatees, do not ride the manatees, do not hydrogen bomb the manatees, etc.) You then leave the shop and drive over to Pete's Pier, where you will need to pay the machine for parking. You hop onboard the boat, take a short ride over to the manatees, and then snorkel for 1 hour. Then you do it all in reverse order. Overall great experience, and I would recommend American Pro to anyone.

Captain John and Jerry were amazing!!! The wind was challenging as was finding the manatees at first but Captain John didn't give up and we wound up having the most wonderful day. We saw lots and lots of manatees Captain John was extremely knowledgeable and funny. After doing the Manatee snorkel with them I am now looking at taking the scuba diving classes. Thanks again to the whole dive pro team from Stephanie who helped me book our experience to Captain Jerry who had hot chocolate waiting for us after we got out of the water you all made it a truly amazing time.

Tom and Jerry were great; very funny and made the trip enjoyable. Learned a lot about Manatees and had so much fun swimming with them. They came up to our faces and gave us love, followed us and were so cool and gentle. The momma and her baby were the best.
