Firstly, I'd like to commend Alpine Commons for allowing pets of all sizes, when many properties do not. Additionally, they are so open to suggestions. They truly listen to their residence. For example, I brought it to their attention that it was dark in the dog park, and not three weeks later they installed a new light. I would highly recommend them.

Never before have I seen an apartment complex that treats their tenants more like children than adults on a lease. The rent was overpriced when I began living there and they raise it regularly. I’d guess the going rate for a 4bed shoebox craphole is the same 4,000/month that Olympia place(the newest and nicest apartments in town) charges. Basically it’s only worth living there if you can handle management staff that are unprofessional and feel they can get away with it because you’re a college student. The ‘renovations’ they advertise are a poorly done coat of paint over what is reminiscent of section 16 housing. Frankly, there’s a chance you’d be better treated at a local homeless shelter than by the managers of this location.

Although I chose to not rent with Alpine Commons due to my tough financial situation, they gave me a fantastic experience in the touring process. Ashley is wonderful and wants the best for you, making the community atmosphere feel very welcoming and inviting. The units are quite nice if you are willing and able to spend a few extra bucks, demonstrated by the fantastic virtual tour that Ashley gave my friends and I. After our tour at Alpine Commons, Ashley followed up with us multiple times and wanted to make sure we were doing okay with our searching process. She truly cares about you and is a great resource for any concerns or questions not only about Alpine Commons but just the off campus living experience as a student in general. Certainly consider this apartment complex for your next home!

I would recommend any college student looking for off-campus housing to consider Alpine Commons. Utilities are paid for, and you are only responsible for paying rent. In addition, the office staff is very helpful when you need help or assistance with anything. All in all, living in Alpine Commons for the past two years has been a great experience, and I would recommend this place to anyone in the Amherst area.
