This is an amazing place for riders of any skill level. The lesson horses are all very athletic and well taken care of, which makes them amazing to ride! The owner Anke is a skilled and patient trainer who can teach just about anyone. There are many lesson horses and they are all lovely and unique, each one has something to teach you. This is a very special place and I consider myself lucky to have found it.

Be very careful if you attend a show here, haul in, or board. The barn owner allowed a horse with a fever, cough, and runny nose to attend a show. I chose to leave, as did some other competitors, because I did not want to put my horses’ health at risk. I informed show management the night before the show that I was withdrawing, why I left, and politely asked for a refund because I had to leave for my horses’ safety through no fault of my own. The barn owner subsequently sent me multiple emails saying I caused drama and should be charged more money for what I had done, despite the fact that all I did was calmly take my horses home. I spoke to no one at the barn other than management and two competitors with whom I am close friends. The barn owner admitted that the ill horse was symptomatic and took no responsibly for her behavior and lack of understanding of biosecurity. Instead, she spread a rumor that I left because of “trainer rivalry.” I am not a trainer, do not show with a trainer, and have never met nor even heard of the trainer/owners of the sick horse. The bottom line is that I did what was in the best interest of my horses, and in return the barn owner chose to spread rumors about me at her show amongst people I have never met. If she had asked the sick horse to leave, as is industry standard, or even just apologized and refunded my money after the fact, I would not be complaining. The behavior and lack of horsemanship I experienced instead is appalling.
