When I have a need for some special 'sweets' the Sweet Chalet is my go to place. Have been going there from about the first week they opened.
Tiny place that's tough to find. Call ahead so you don't wander in the parking lot. The candy is beautiful and they have distinctive flavors such as apple cider vinegar.
The best chocolate in Anchorage. Forget Modern Dwellers and find this place near Dimond Mall. Free samples and in-depth explanations of their products and processes. There's also a shop at the Captain Cook hotel, I understand. Just go, with no regrets.
