This company messed up my truck! I paid 650 for an alarm that doesn’t work and now I having problems with the electrical. It took them 2 days to try and figure out my truck and when he called to tell me my truck is ready he said the auto start doesn’t work only the alarm. The owner told me that they needed another part but they will need more money. I hope I can help someone out by posting this.

I bought my dad's truck after he got sick with the auto start already installed. Soon afterward my dad passed away. I began to notice a drain on the truck battery and within a couple of months it would go completely dead. The truck lights and radio would turn on my themselves in the middle of the night. I assumed it was the auto start since it had been recently installed. I went to Auto Start Alaska and their test showed the auto start was working and maybe something was faulty with the truck. So I went to the dealer (Alaska Sales and Service) and they assured me it wasn't the truck but the auto start. I went back to Auto Start Alaska and they bent over backwards to find the problem. One of the technicians (I think his name was J or K) took everything apart and determined it had something to do with the ignition switch. So I go back to Alaska Sales and Service and sure enough it was a faulty ignition switch. The staff at Auto Start Alaska were so accommodating and helpful. I was going through a hard time anyway with my dad's death, and their help in solving the problem with my truck helped to make life a little bit easier. I greatly appreciate their service!

My auto start was not working. The owner fixed it in two seconds and didn't even charge me. She was super nice and I have had some things done at this business and they are always professional and fast. This is a good business.

Stay away from these guys! I brought them a sub and amp for an install. Was quoted 175 for an install and told it would be ready in the afternoon. Dropped it off first thing in the morning. Had a call back from them late in the evening before closing saying they ran into some issues, it would now cost 225-275 because they could not figure out the wiring. I figured since they already had the car and I didn't want to bother bringing it anywhere else to tell them to just make it work, since they apparently screwed up the stock audio system while troubleshooting. Got a call back half hour later stating they ran into further issues and the car would not be ready that day. I allowed them to keep it over the weekend and had to take a taxi from the airport on Monday. The total bill came out to 510 for a simple wire in job of an amp and sub. I called several audio shops in anchorage and was quoted between 85-150 for the same job. They all stated its a flat rate and would have never charged this outrageous price. I told Autostart Alaska this fact and they insisted I pay anyway. I told them I felt overcharged and they made no attempt to resolve this.

First unit was programmed incorrectly and never worked right. Made an appointment to get second unit installed and they could never get me in, even with the appointment. Don't know how places like this stay in business.
