The staff of Home Instead have been wonderful to work with, the care they provide our dad has been consistently excellent. They work with us for any contingencies that are necessary and keep us informed of important trends or issues with dad's overall condition. Would highly recommend checking them out to see if they will meet your needs!

Many of the caregivers were friendly and caring, however the others weren't. Management doesn't respond well to when things don't go as planned. A caregiver called in sick, they didn't have another trained caregiver available so they sent an office worker over to my neighbor's house. The office worker had no idea how to work with a person with dementia. When I called management because I was concerned about the behavior of a caregiver (a shift could end with the caregiver either demeaning or yelling at the client), my concerns were brushed off. I know this because the caregiver told me the next time she saw me that she knew I complained and that it was okay that she yelled at the client because people 'get frustrated' and she wasn't getting the support (the caregiver) needed. It seems the caregiver was empowered to continue that behavior. Recommendations: More training for (ALL) staff who may act as caregivers. More support for frustrated caregivers. Less snippiness.
My 101 year old mother has depended on caregivers from Home Instead for many years. As her needs have increased, Home Instead has worked with us to help meet them. Caregivers have almost always been wonderful, caring people with good communication skills, and management has been quick to respond to any requests that we have made. Yes, they are expensive, but the dependability and quality of service is worth it, in our opinion.
Home Instead is an investment in my peace of mind. Knowing my elderly mother is safe and taken care is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks Home Instead.
We love the care and compassion the staff at Home Instead has shown. They are the best in the industry. Very responsive! They do an amazing job of choosing the right caregiver to the patient.
