Truthfully, the store itself is 5 stars, but the staff are a huge detractor. I like to shop in relative peace, and every time I go in, the employees get way too personal with details about their lives. I wish management would discuss this with the salespeople - because sometimes people need to concentrate on what they're doing and you can’t when someone is following you around telling you about all their problems. It makes me very uncomfortable and it’s to the point now where I don’t want to go in there...But other than that, their selection of quality leather, leather working tools, and craft accessories is the best in the state.

Such an awesome place! Went in the other day with a last minute request for some help on dying a leather cuff that I needed in a different color for a wedding and the employees were so helpful! Not only did they answer my questions, but they actually helped show me how to do the whole process. Everyone was friendly and helpful, they really saved me with my time crunch! I will be back for all my future leather purchases! Big thank you to the employees at Tandy Leather, you guys are awesome!

From classes during the week and weekend, to just going in with question. These folks are knowledgeable and always willing to help, without talking to you like you're an idiot.
