A tiny wetlands park tucked away behind a business park. This park appears to have been intended as the start of a larger project, but it clearly has not received much attention since the eighties (One of the financial donors has long since merged with another company decades ago). Plus it’s goal of buying more wetlands and expanding seems to have been a loss. There is recent evidence of development reducing the wetlands in the area, and likely to expand a soccer field. There isn’t much here for facilities besides a worn, but a conceptually nice, seating area with an overlook of the wetlands, and a sidewalk where one might walk a dog a short distance. As I visited, the birds were out in force, with everything from gulls, small birds like chickadees, all the way to waterfowl like a number of snow goose who were enjoying the wetlands. Also, to the left of the seating area, up in the trees is a nest of sticks for something like a hawk, falcon, or owl . Despite being in a city, nature was out in force and on display. This site really should be preserved. This site had some worn benches, and as it was before Mother’s Day, it had quite a bit of trash that needs picked up. Also a bit of careful trimming of the bushes might improve the view of the wetlands, and the birds attending the area. Some maintenance is highly needed. A picnic table or two would be a worthy upgrade. This little wetlands park, at the center of the city, in an area of growing development, means this parks days are likely numbered. Enjoy it while you can.

This is a potentially dangerous place now that it is overgrown and uncared for. It was a pleasant space to take a break but it has deteriorated so significantly I fear for my safety. It's neglected, littered and falling apart. The birds still enjoy it but from the litter I fear it is the humans who are ruining it.
