Alex & Bonnie of The Marietta House have been wonderful to work with, and extremely helpful in navigating the process of finding an Assisted Living Facility that fits all of my Grandfather's needs. They are more than happy to give advice & recommendations even if their facility is not the perfect fit for your Loved One. The Marietta House truly has a family home feeling, and it always smells like delicious home cooked meals. I would absolutely recommend The Marietta House to those in need of their services.

The facility is beautiful and the staff are caring. However, the family encourages the family advocate to work with established providers that they are familiar with and then kept telling me ‘to trust them, not worry - just enjoy your Mom- denying me the right to access of information. I challenged the providers about this behavior and Bonnie refused from that point on to talk with me and avoided me. My Mom had to push to get blood work which showed she had not deteriorated like the hospice staff had reported she would. (Mom and I were both told separately- how inappropriate to tell my Mom alone- that she probably wouldn’t live through the weekend.) Six weeks later we insisted on blood work and Mom was discharged back to Marlow Manor being told - by Alex and the children - we - were going to visit “Mom”. But never did. The food is excellent - but the food portions are small - my Mom lost 18 pounds. ..... the family snacks much of the day. Additionally, the caregivers in the room next to my Mom sold river side property and cabin to Alex - is that considered appropriate? Mom state’s - “She failed hospice!” And we were very grateful for the additional years we had at Marlow Manor. An informed advocate needs to be welcomed - not demeaned and put off. PS at the time my mom was there- the only nurses coming were hospice nurses.

We had an amazing experience with The folks at the Marietta house. We were not able to actually use their services due to timing. The care and experience about the process was by far the best we experienced. The house was very well laid out, clean and beautiful. The owners were kind, informative and supportive. If we are in this situation again they will be our first call. thanks for everything!

Bonnie and Alex provide such a loving and caring environment for their residents. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see caregivers who truly and honestly care about the comfort and well-being of their residents.

My grandmother is currently a resident at the Marietta house and I have only wonderful things to say about Alex and Bonnie. I came up to AK to say goodbye to my grandma and from the second I walked in the door I could see that they really do treat the residents like family. They are warm, kind, and funny. I watched them treat both my grandma and other residents there with compassion and dignity. Not to mention the home itself is beautifully decorated for the holidays- It looks like the North Pole in there:) I will forever be grateful for the superior care that Alex and Bonnie showed my family!
