I enlisted over 26 years ago out of an Anchorage office! I recently had the pleasure of coming back and supporting the local recruiters under a program called \Recruiters Assistance Program\. I was born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska, growing up in a small trailer park, I had no clue what the Air Force would be able to offer me, but I knew staying in the park was not going to offer me much. I have been lived in four states, a US territory and Japan! I have traveled to over 10 different countries and have supported unique missions around the globe. It's hard to believe my Air Force career will be wrapping up next year -- but I have faith that if you are curious what the Air Force can do for you -- don't be afraid to ask!

I credit the recruiters at the Anchorage USAF recruiting station with helping me turn my life around. I went from being a college dropout to a respected Airman. Since enlisting, I have grown both mentally and physically. I’m now financially stable and have received Aircraft Structural Maintenance training I can take with me into the private sector when my enlistment is up. Thanks to the Air Force I’m able to see the world outside of my hometown; having already been sent across the country to Florida and soon to be stationed in Korea. None of it would have been possible without walking in the doors of the Anchorage recruiting station.

I enlisted out of this office in 2015 and had a great experience. I went in with a job in mind and after my testing and everything was able to get the exact job that I desired. I have been in for four and a half years now and have thoroughly enjoyed my time. I am currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan and getting to see some other parts of the world has been great. I have been able to take advantage of many of the programs that are offered by the Air Force and it has helped me in my life immensely. I have been able to further my education and get myself set up financially through the Air Force and the opportunities that it has presented to me. I would encourage anyone that is on the fence about the Air Force to come in and talk to the Recruiters to find out more information and learn about all of the different directions that the Air Force can take you.

I shipped out through this recruiting station about two years ago and had an overall great experience. My recruiter helped me through the whole process and helped me get a job in the intelligence career field like I wanted even though I lived in Juneau. Since I joined the Air Force I have received training on how to analyze signals which I’ve been able to use to help the United States monitor our adversaries :) I would highly recommend talking to someone from this recruiting station.

Had a phenomenal experience with this recruiting station. Came in with a difficult situation and they helped me get onto a path that I wanted to be on with the Air Force. Came in working with the special warfare recruiter, working with him for multiple months training to leave for my selected career field. The recruiter was extremely helpful in answering any question I had and helping me with any issues that came up. The Air Force has treated me extremely well since then going through BMT and Tech School. It has been an amazing experience allowing me to grow as a person and develop life long relationships with some great people. If your considering joining the Air Force or looking for a new way of life, I would highly recommend coming to this recruiting station. They will set you up for success with the Air Force.
