I had a rough go of it for two days...the first hospital I took my baby to wasn’t confident enough to perform a surgery because there were too many risks and as much I felt offended by taking her in charging me an arm and a leg for tests but I was happy that they told me they weren’t confident enough to perform the risky surgery and referred me to Animal Emergency Hospital. The doctor was upfront and told me the dangers of attempting to save my baby while not doing anything would still be the end of her there was one thing that gave me faith here. The doctor told me there was nothing that would make her more happy then to see my baby see me coming to pick her up and take her home knowing she’s going to be ok. When that was all I really needed to hear...

I have dealt with this emergency vet 3 times. The first time my home vet called them to say I was on my way so all was good. The second time we rushed my seizing little dog out there, called on the way, told to call when we got there and I could fill out the paper work after I got there with him. We called , they were rude, slammed with patients, wouldn’t even come out to see my dog, asked why we didn’t fill the paper work out on the way there , ( well I was holding the little one and my husband was driving - kind of hard). She kept putting me off, I was crying and told her I guess we’d go elsewhere. She hung up. We proceeded on to another emergency vet who came immediately out, got my dog and talked to us on the phone with the paper work. Sooooo nice. They were spot on with my baby. We took him to our vet the next day and he concluded the same outcome and our baby had to be put down. At least the second emergency vet gave me the time of day as I was so distraught . The third time I called the hwy 114 vet and explained what was going on with my dog and asked if they could refill a pain Med for my big dog if we came out. Her first statement was “We are not a pharmacy”. I said I know. I was just asking if—- Then she said they would have to establish him as a patient - at .150.00 - then anything after that would be added. I said thank you. — Called another emergency vet, their first reaction was “oh I’m so sorry “. Poor guy. Then proceeded to tell me they’d need to see him first , then proceed with diagnosis. And didn’t guarantee the meds would be given. I thanked them too. They were so much more caring. The phone receptionist at the first ER vet seems non caring.

I believe only the \Lowest ratings\ posted here. How can people who have no compassion for animals/birds do a great job... notwithstanding the technology and \expertize\ they can employ?!? I'm affiliated with a wildlife association and this year I raised a little wren left behind by his family (a last one to come out of his egg); he was perfectly healthy, but as tiny as a hummingbird and only 1/2 covered in feathers. Since it's an insectivore, it's harder to feed him, but he did well on dry mealworms and live critters from suburban pet shops... till I fed him some live critter from a Dallas pet shop. He immediately got sick, clearly dying, unable to stand and lost his voice. I read that a bacterial infection could cause it. I took him to this Emergency place, but the nurse asked me for over 400... which I was not in the position to pay. I thought if I feel like dedicating 2 months of my life to carry the tiny bird around everywhere to feed him every 10 minutes and nurture him, all for free,... other animal-lovers would feel inclined to give at least 5 minutes or 1 animal-antibiotic pill for free... THEY REFUSED! I felt quite disgusted. Back home, I gave the little bird sand-sized human antibiotic powder and in 2 days he was back on his wings. The most beautiful song bird, was released, sings nicely, still visiting me on my deck sometimes. I'd never take any animal to this \Emergency\ place.... no trust.

My experience here outshined any veterinary office I've ever been to. Every single person I spoke to was pleasant, especially the Dr who patiently explained every possible outcome with me. I felt very comfortable asking questions to figure out the best outcome for my rabbit. I have an immense amount of respect and gratitude for the people working here. Thank you

They took fantastic care of our bird when he had a pin feather after hours. They are compassionate and gave us some great advice. Highly recommend!
