One of our cat loved Dr. Behrens so much we follow her when she started this animal hospital many years ago. The staffs' love of animals are genuine. Our cats love them. One cat had long term issues and doctor helped tremendously along the way. During the visit, everything is explained to me clearly. I got to know options so I can made sound decisions. We continue to take our cat to see doctor there. I would recommend this to anyone.

My pups have been going here for several years. The doctors are very compassionate and listen to you and help you keep your pets healthy and happy. My dogs used to get super stressed going to the vet, now since going here they are so much more relaxed. They are both seniors but act like puppies.

They were able to treat and see my 18 yo cat in between appointments. He was unable to defecate, was vomiting after straining to and was clearly very uncomfortable. Due to holiday and his age, we decided it'd be best to bring him in instead of risking having to visit the emergency room. I'm so grateful they were able to fit him in. Nothing unnecessary was done and cost was very reasonable. Gabbie was so patient and answered all my questions leading up to the visit. Dr. Behrens was so thorough and suggested numerous supplements to avoid this in the future. In fact, every vet here really cares about the health of your pets. I take all 3 of my cats here and have never had a negative experience!

A huge thank you and virtual hug to Dr. Behrens and veterinarian technician Gabby for all of your care to our little guy during what was a frightening time for both him and his family. Dr. Behrens immediately helped us in our desperation and gave excellent care and advice for an after-treatment plan. Both Dr. Behrens and Gabby have the utmost caring attitude towards animals, and at no time during our pet's visits did we feel rushed. The follow-up check-in calls made by Dr. Brehens and Gabby have been so very much appreciated. A breath of fresh air. This veterinary hospital loves animals and it shows in how they treat them, interact with them and the feedback they provide. I took my Labradoodle puppy there because she's been sneezing lately. No wonder, there are lots of strange foliage in Lake Barrington that she hadn't been exposed to before. The Vet gave me a 4-day prescription to ease her discomfort and clear the congestion but didn't attempt to over medicate her with antibiotics. I appreciate that. Great place for compassionate care.
