What happened?! I live at Chidester place, and on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, we get a food delivery. Normally, we get quite a lot. Today, we didn't. When the truck pulled out of the parking lot, and after all was said and done, all each of us got was one(1)3-lb bag of russet potatoes, and one(1)bag of apples. No more than that. Was there a misunderstanding of some kind? Or are times really getting that bad? Please look into this!

Food gatherers is a amazing organization that collects food donations from various places/stores who otherwise would throw out usable food. there are also Community Gardens that specifically grow food and donate it to this organization so that people can have fresh produce. Food Gatherers then serve as an organizing space and sorting space for all of this food and redistribute it to food pantries and organizations in the Ann Arbor and surrounding towns. Run by great staff and volunteers. It is a wonderful place to do some community service and volunteering. Last donations are only accepted 15 minutes before closing time.
Great experience making donations to these guys. Manager for delivery (will not mention his name for his privacy ;) was very accommodating of our situation and worked with us to figure out the best way for us to donate food products. Hope to be able to visit and take a tour of the facility once we put this COVID thing behind us..
Great organization helping the local community. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's also an amazing opportunity to volunteer as an individual or with a group (volunteer group, other organization, work group). It feels great to volunteer there and give back.
