The most creative Japanese style cuisine. The food is great. The restrooms are very clean. The owner is friendly and came to our table to discuss our choices. He shared with us how some items were created and good sake to pair. We ordered the Chef's Surprise for lunch. When we took another person back for dinner a week later we wanted that again but it was a lunch special. We ordered something, don't remember the name but it translates into: \I trust you\ and really you have no idea what you're going to get so it is comparable to Chef's Surprise. Still incredibly delicious. The Chef's Surprise was 19 for lunch and the \I Trust You\ was 35. It was available for higher dollar amounts and we were told the more expensive included more premium cuts and items. Took pics of the appetizers and entrees. Prepare for a deluge.

This is always a great place to check out. I love their sushi. The chicken tempura was not what I've had at other sushi places, more like chicken nuggets but good chicken nuggets. I love the miso here and the starter salad dressing is great too. The wine and drink selection is also great here!

Very nice presentation, generous portion, and a wide variety of food options (you don’t usually find uni or aburi sushi in Ann Arbor). The rolls are a bit too creamy for me but I could taste the different layers of flavors and textures. Will definitely come back

Great sushi choice for Ann Arbor. The flaming Hawaii Volcano roll is awesome as well as the tempura ice cream. Nice happy hour beer draft price!

The volcano roll was always the show stopper for our group. The sushi is decent for being so far from the ocean. The price is very reasonable and there was always a table available despite being busy. I would recommend this to any one wanting a fun night out and have a great Mel to start the night.
