Not honest with concerns about the qualifications of the installers. They installed a unit right next to a outdoor living space at out newly purchased home. They said it was the only place possible. When the unit stopped working we called to have them come out to fix it. This was at the beginning of the pandemic and they were unable to come out at the time saying they would get back with us. We waited a couple weeks and not wanting to wait I did my own diagnosis of the problem. The power for the unit was tied into a outlet on the interior. They took the switch plate off inside and drilled through the box to the outside. A wire was not secured. I connected it. That wax the problem. Not sure about the load on that circuit is within code. Although this method of wiring seems questionable to me, this is not the complaint. When I was trying to find where the electric was tied into, I saw the flexible duct work. After studying it, It appears the location was chosen because it was the shorted and easiest. I found no reason why it couldn’t be run to the side of the house. They finally call back to schedule a time to fix it and we told them we did already, but we would like them to come out to see what could be done to move it. Now they said the could route the duct work and fan unit to the side of the house for almost the same cost of the original installation. When we asked why they tell us they couldn’t do this originally, they said the employee that that did it, didn’t know any better and offered a few dollar discount on the work without restoring the siding they cut through. I sent an email to the manager and his boss explaining my complaint. No response. So, I will get another company to move it and find a contractor to replace the siding with the holes it it.

I couldn't be happier about my experience with pro-tech. Selling our home the radon was discovered to be high and pro-tech gave us a great quote over the phone. They were easy to schedule and when their crew came they were professional and prepared. The lead guy was open to our input and we were able to come up with a great nonobtrusive place to vent the piping that wouldn't detract from the homes charm. The techs wore masks and cleaned everything up, even cutting a couple basement storage shelves to make the placement work. I can't say enough.

Outstanding experience and highly recommend. Our average reading was appx 4.0 before remediation (with spikes as high as 7.5 - we had it professionally tested and the report gives you detailed results over a 48 hour period). After Protech completed the remediation the average dropped to 0.3 with a max of 1.3 (professionally re-tested as well for the full detailed report). Work was completed quickly and installers were on time and very professional. If you are considering remediation we absolutely would recommend using Protech.

Be careful with this company ! My friend recommended this company , when I called them for a quote, they said it was 825 , I thought it was reasonable. However, when I ask further, they said it going to be another 800 ish charge on top of that for Permission application and to pay the electrician in Ann Arbor area! Which mean it going to be 1,600- 1,700 per house. When I ask them why my neighbour just got it done for the half of the price, then I was told that this is a new regulation started 8 months ago. This is not making any sense because I saw my next door neighbours receipt , it was done in April, they should apply to the “ new rule” too. Over all, they lied about the price on my face, won’t trust this company ever again!!

Super quick and efficient service of installing a radon mitigation system in the house we were selling. The installers were very knowledgeable and explained the system and the information to pass on to the buyer's. Definitely would recommend.
