Beyond impressed with Pratt’s Chimney! I can say without a doubt that Pratt’s will truly go above and beyond what 99% of other companies will do to make a customer happy. The owner himself got involved to make sure our needs were met as quickly as possible. The technician was polite, friendly, courteous, personable and punctual. He took the time to put down protection for the floors, did an astounding installation, and cleaned up like he was never here. He took the time to explain everything and made sure all my questions were answered before he left. We couldn’t be happier with the level of service provided and have our beautiful gas log fire place to enjoy. I highly recommend them for your next fireplace / chimney service needs! Thanks Steve!

Do not hire. I was unimpressed with the technician from the start. He recommended a 1800 repair, but refused to leave a written quote...had a second company look today, a total scam on work that was not needed. I doubt the cleaning was even done properly. Unless you have money to burn look elsewhere. Response to below--You are incorrect, likely due to bad information from your technician. I was fully available and often in the room for 75% of the appointment. I only was in a class at the end and informed the young man that he could interrupt me at any time, leaving a check so I wouldn't waste time writing it. He left the home without a word nor leaving a single piece of written documentation, business card, invoice or email. If there was actually an urgent \do not burn\ indication that would be totally irresponsible to leave a home like that. It might help to actually believe the customer and not simply the employee. I consider this matter closed and the relationship over.

This is our first project with Pratt’s Chimney, and we could not be more pleased with this company’s professionalism, expertise, and sheer hustle. The team is talented top to bottom—from office communications and quick responses to the owner’s and field tech’s strong skill and knowledge sets. Just after a 10-inch snowfall, the Pratt’s crew installed a stunning Valor fireplace insert in our 100 year old home. In the process, they also discovered an important issue with our chimney crown that we were previously unaware of. You want your craftspeople looking out for you like that. Like it’s their own home and they’re making sure it’s done right. They were also super-conscientious about laying down protective sheeting and taking off/putting on their boots when coming in and out—their standard operating procedure. Fast, efficient, and super personable, these folks are pros. I look forward to working with them again!

I moved into my new house two years ago. I hired the original company that installed the fireplace in the house from the previous owner to do an inspection and cleaning. That company finished everything in less than 20 minutes. I knew that was not sufficient enough time to do that type of work properly. So, the next year I had contacted Pratts for a chimney inspection and cleaning. They sent a technician over and before starting the work recognized something was wrong. The technician went to the roof and noticed even more problems. He contacted Steve Pratt the owner to explain everything that was going on. He came back and informed me that the company that installed the fireplace did it in an extremely unsafe manner and the entire unit would have to be replaced. As one can imagine, I was not happy because I knew this would not be cheap. The technician thoroughly explained what was wrong, why it was wrong, and what would have to be done. He left and I had to schedule a replacement. Later that day, the owner Steve Pratt personally called me. He wanted to explain in more detail the issues of what was wrong, apologized for the other company that installed it, and guided me to what we were looking for in a replacement. A few weeks later, they were here tearing out the old unit, which we had found had a fire in the chimney vent pipe. The technicians were extremely nice, did not mind teaching me things as they were installing it and extremely professional the entire time. The price of the unit was very fairly priced, and they did an amazing job with everything. We are very happy with the way they treated us and conducted themselves. I will not be going to any other company other than Pratts for my fireplace needs.

I could not have imagined the outstanding quality experience and tremendous professionalism I received today when Pratt’s technician, Scott, came to perform a long overdue cleaning. He was on time, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to answer any questions and concerns I had. In addition, he was respectful of my home and made my children and I feel safe. I highly recommend using Pratt and definitely ask for Scott. He went above and beyond. The price they quoted on the phone was exactly the price I paid, which seems like a small thing, but in this day and age - so many businesses add on hidden fees/taxes/etc. Pratt won’t do that. Thank you so much! You have a loyal customer for life!
