Fantastic hike. I consider myself an avid hiker and this was a good one. Word to the wise, it is first come first served, so get there early if you are trying to park. Also, wear hiking boots. Most hikes you can get away with just your Nike's, but this is a pretty intense hike. Lots is scrabbling, and vertical. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a challenge, but probably not a novice.

My favorite hike in Arizona. It is extremely challenging but getting to the top is amazing. Feels like a spiritual journey. Until you hike it you wont understand the scale and magnificence of this amazing place. Bring lots of water and protein bars. Took me 2 hours from parking lot to get to the top and I am pretty good hiker.

If you're physically able to, do this hike. Be prepared, it will challenge you, and potentially injure you. If you're not a marathon runner, or avid hiker, bring a camel pack with water and one or two snacks. It takes roughly 3-4 hours for a pretty decent pace if you're going all the way up to the flat iron. Bring gloves with good grip, you'll need them, and really good tractioned shoes. If you're simply going to the siphon, then it's roughly 2 hours round trip. Still worth the effort. Done this hike a few times now, and I wish I could do it more, but travel has been tricky as of late. Plus there is always one rock face I fall down...every single time. Bring someone with you, and note once past the siphon it's not marked, so try and follow others as you will get very lost. Try and stick more to the left since everyone veers to the right and that's not where the trail is. This is honestly so worth it though. So if you go, be safe!

Me and my dad climbed to the very top of flat iron and it was absolutely amazing. Wonderful hike that is highly challenging and not for the faint of heart! The path gets a little confusing at times and requires lots of scrambling to get around but it is worth it in the end!

this is one of the most beautiful hiking trails around. The trails are mildly challenging while the views are an exuberant reward for such an effortless hike. The best time for a hike here is after a rain. the desert Wash's run with waterfalls and such .
