To be specific, I'm giving 5 stars to the acoustic shop. While the electric shop has a great selection, I don't care for their staff very much. The acoustic shop is run by Chuck, and he's very helpful and pleasant. The selection of acoustic guitars is currently the best Portland has to offer, and is neatly organized into beginner, intermediate, and upper level sections. Highly recommended.

I went to the acoustic store. Talk to Chuck, he was extremely helpful. I checked out every guitar store in Portland, and definitely liked this place the best. They have a huge selection of new acoustics. I was looking for something in the 400 range and probably had about 10-15 options. I ended up getting a 210 guitar. They were not pushy at all.

The acoustic guitar shop should be your first (maybe last) stop when looking for a good to excellent acoustic guitar. The people are amazingly helpful, not pushy. The selection is great. And the prices are even reasonable.

The floor guy in the Acoustic store was very helpful and nice. He didn't smuther me with info & random facts to try to force a purchase down my throat. He knew what he was talking about and helped me decide which guitar was best for me. GREAT STORE!

i bought my first guitar here.. its a JJ Heart acoustic guitar! i fell in love! he let us play around with the guitars for awhile before i decided on my favorite! he was so helpful and gave me a great deal on lessons with my purchase! Great selection and friendly passionate people!

Its seems some folks have had bad experiences here, and my experience was limited to the acoustic side of the house, so take it with a grain of salt, but.... I was perfectly happy. Chuck greeted me warmly when I entered, let me browse arond a bit, and politely asked if I had questions. He showed me my choices in the price range I was working with (ukuleles around 100) and patiently explained the differences. I really couldn't have ask for a better experience, and I'll be coming back again.
