I called them on a repair on my stove. They wanted almost 200 just to come out and I'm about 14 minute drive from them! That charge was above and beyond the repair work. I think that was just way too much. I found someone else that was far more reasonable for a total of 95.

When the service person came to our home, I was wearing a mask and asked if he would please wear a mask in our home. (This was the end of November 2020 during the height of the Covid pandemic.) He refused, so I canceled the repair. I wish I had known this before we scheduled an appointment with them. (The service person also came 45 minutes after the two-hour window they had given us.)

Hi Don, Again, thank you for your help and kind advice on my twenty year old Hotpoint clothes washing machine. After our meeting I immediately stopped at The Home Depot on my quest to locate a new washing machine, and I ended up buying a Maytag clothes washer for a decent price, including installation, and removing and hauling the old one. All-in-all, it turned out to be a wonderful day. The Maytag is scheduled to be delivered on this coming Tuesday. Thanks for the kind words about my three dogs!!! As you probably realized, although they look like Basenjis, they must have some Rat Terrier in their blood. They can be a rowdy bunch. They get along famously with my three cats, but the cats do keep them in line when they need to. The cats all have their full complement of teeth and claws and they are quite willing to use them if necessary. But it seldom is. As soon as you left, I let them all out of their crates/carriers.
