Our experience was great from start to finish. Great surprises were found inside. As you have read, this is an old place so get your mind set there. It is not perfect but I promise you will enjoy your stay! The owners were so friendly and accommodating. You are instantly family when you walk through the door. We stayed in the penthouse of the laundry house. Very spacious! Very clean! The common area of laundry house is very well done. The breakfast was beyond great. You must try the French toast! The bacon, very very good. Get the vanilla ice cream, it’s a must. We checked out the bungalows, we will stay there next time to enjoy the pool. They spend the money in creating great bathrooms and kitchen. With no hesitation stay the night here.

We stumbled upon this traveling to Taum Sauk. The food was pretty good and the location is unique. Always like this area. Party of 3 everything was good.

We come as group of 3-4 families to the Abbey every summer and this place feels like home. Mainly because of the amazing family that runs it. We missed you all this past summer but hope to be back this year. Charming accommodations, historical property with a fascinating history and home cooked meals. We love staying in the laundry room accommodations or in the rooms off of the main house. The Shut In's and elephant rock are a short drive away...

I love to eat here. The bread and cinnamon rolls are amazing. Soups are great. The fried portobello mushrooms are the best I’ve ever had. I’m never disappointed. Have to drive 50 miles to get there but it’s well worth the trip. The owners are very nice

My family loves this place. The ice cream shop, giant cinnamon rolls and the food are wonderful. The history of the place and touring the chapel is great. My friends and I booked a room at the Inn. The room was nice for a very old building. It had been renovated with a queen 4 poster bed. It had cable tv and free wifi. There was also a kitchen and sitting room down the hall with a keurig and refrigerator.

Fantastic food! Very interesting history of the Arcadia Academy and all of it's buildings, including the one that houses Thee Abbey Kitchen. HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting and dining here!

The best fettuccine alfredo I have ever had in my life! Also the most amazing cinnamon rolls! They were the size of my head and the outside was just as soft and gooey and the center. We will definitely be making another trip to this restaurant, even if it's just for the food! Sammy was our server and was absolutely darling and offered great recommendations.
