I work for someone who found a large box filled to the brim with old VHS tapes, DVDs and tapes I couldn't even identify. Much of the material was very old and damaged. I took it to Archive Iowa where I asked them to see what they would be able to salvage of all these pieces of media (I had about 100 pieces). Not only did Archive Iowa turn this around SO quickly, they were able to get EVERY piece of media converted to digital!!! I could not believe it. I thought I would only get a few dozen media pieces digitalized if I was lucky, when I actually got 100's back. Now, my boss has video memories dating back to 1941 (!!!!) to share with his loved ones. You could not put a dollar amount on this. Thank you SO much to Sam and Team at Archive Iowa for working so hard to take the messy box I gave them and touching lives by doing such a great job with the material. My materials were also returned to be in better condition than I had brought them in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We inherited a pile of home movies from '58-'75, and Sam did a fabulous job digitizing them for us! We were amazed how good the color was, and how quickly he completed this project for us. He digitized a video tape of a music performance for us, too, and the sound and picture are both wonderful. Sam is great to work with, very easy to contact and works very hard to make sure his shop is COVID safe. We'll be back, for sure!
Archive Iowa is the best!!! So glad I found them in my own backyard. I was looking at the popular ones advertised online, and really researched availability in the country. I found Archive Iowa! I was looking to digitize my family videos, slides since 1967 ( including one from 1947)in all kinds of media- the old 3min Kodak film, to the video cassette cartridges, VHS tapes and anything in between and the latest. We also have videos from Gateway Dance Theatre (GDT) since 1972. Archive Iowa has more than exceeded our expectations in quality, service is prompt, friendly- and also in the process created a "catalog" of all the material separately for the family and GDT. I highly recommend Archive Iowa- excellence is their trademark for me!

Excellent work from Sam. He’s the only one i trust with my family’s memories. Very organized and quick turnaround. Plus knowing that he’s not shipping out my media is a huge plus!
Sam kept us informed throughout our project which included converting 60 year old 8mm film to digital. We are so pleased with result and happy to have preserved the memories.
