Wow! Everyone here was most helpful!! Application to adopt was great! They're thorough in asking about past pets and checking to see if you're the right candidate to adopt. I found the most adorable kitty that has captured my heart and was a great match. Thanks to everyone at the league and thank you for the services you provide! ️

I have loved this place and their passion for animals, until today. I reached out to them some years back for much needed veterinary assistance with my older cat, and they were so gracious in helping with a payment plan. This morning I called for my younger cat and the woman I spoke to was absolutely no help. She was extremely short with me, and claimed that I am not eligible due to not having an arlington address... I didn't live in arlington when I previously received services either... I asked when their program eligibility changed, and was told it was always that way.This is simply not true, and I am disappointed in the obvious lack of passion and customer service. I was born and raised in arlington, and have now unfortunately been displaced from my home outside of arlington. All she could respond with was \I understand\ This is simply not true, and I am disappointed in the obvious lack of passion and customer service. This is not the same awesome animal shelter I grew up with.

We adopted Louie from AWLA and couldn't be happier. He's the best and we had a super smooth adoption after fostering on a Friday. We drove all the way from Manassas to meet him and when we arrived they were informative about his \special needs\ Adopted by Sat evening! I would recommend a foster/adoption of any animal at this location.
