I worked with Erin when I was moving in and he was great! I was moving from out of town and he helped make the process easy and painless. Honestly that man deserves a raise because I asked him a lot of questions. The apartment itself is nice and updated. We live on the top floor and don’t have any complaints. The pet space is nice to take our dog to and have him run out his energy. Location is great if you want to be close to everything, not much to walk to but still a ton of things around.

I had intended to originally give a 1 star review, but have decided to raise this up to a 2 star because of a few of the employees that work at Avalon. I believe that Abigail Affram, Laura Crane, Chelsa Banks, Daniel Crowley and Dan H. all deserve a 5 star review for the incredible job they do. Each one of these employees goes above and beyond. We have been at Arlington Square now for 2 years and have chosen not to renew our lease. In this two year time period we have switched units once as our original unit had around 40 maintenance issues including but not limited to ants, spiders, twice broken water heater, broken AC unit, leaking window, broken dryer and broken washing machine. Avalon did fix most of these issues within a 48 hour window but the unit seemed to always have something wrong. Our second unit is very nice and spacious and has not had too many maintenance issues at all. Around the December time we noticed the common area hallways and certain rooms in our unit started to have a very strong odour of marijuana. It was then brought to our attention that there were multiple other neighbours that also had the same issue. While is has gone from a daily very strong smell to an occasional one it is still noticeable and in violation of Avalon's smoking policy. It has become apparent that the property manager intends on doing nothing to solve this issue. Avalon management claims to have a very strong no smoking policy yet does not really do anything other than send out emails. For this reason and this reason alone we have chosen not to renew. If you are curious how many residents complain about this issue then I would suggest joining the Arlington Square Facebook group. If it were not for the great employees listed above my review would have been lower. For the current price of listed apartments it might be a good deal given close vicinity to things, but if the prices go back up again there are definitely better options.
Just moved in to Avalon and Erin at the leasing office was incredibly helpful in helping me get set up and answering the endless questions I had. The maintenance team so far has also been amazing, as they show up soon after putting in a request and explain their work to me so I understand what they did. Aside from initial apartment issues that maintenance fixed, and unavailability of the concierge during business hours, I really like it here. Will update later on!
Excellent move-in process. Daniel was extremely helpful and responded to all emails in a timely manner.
My disabled brother-in-law lives with my husband and I. He called the drugstore to check on one of his medicines he needed right away and was told they had mailed it and it was left at the office. We are out of town and I called Package Concierge and spoke with Daniel. I explained the situation, that we were out of town and were trying to locate his medicine and that he was unable to walk there to get it and his aide was gone for the day. Daniel told me he would look for the package and called me back in a few moments and told me he had it and was on his way to our apartment with it. Within 20 minutes of my brother-in-law calling very distressed about his medicine Daniel was knocking on the door with it for him. We so appreciate him going above and beyond to help our family member.
