Great little spot, hidden gem. I was quite surprised when they brought my sushi out in a BOAT. Nice touch that was unexpected at first glance. My favorite was the Shrimp Tempura and quail egg on roe. Parking can be difficult around here though.

Great pricing and quality sushi. Customer service, while not unacceptable, was bizarre. Our waitress seemed to be in a deadly hurry each time she came to our table and never asked if we wanted drinks. She collected the order cards and dashed away; we had to call out to her to come back to take our drink orders. Further drinks required similar intervention. Once we had to go up to the sushi counter because she hadn't come around at all. But, in a small place, this wasn't a disaster.

I've dined here a couple of times - both inside and outside. The rolls are always delicious and fresh and many are 30% off. Not a big place, but has never been very crowded when I visited. The food comes out pretty fast so it's a nice stop when you need a sushi fix.

I went into this restaurant with high expectations and i was not disappointed! Anyone who has read my sushi reviews knows that i always rate a restaurant on its unagi. Bonsai's unagi was light, savory and full of fatty goodness. Top notch and delicious. The yellowtail was mouthwatering and tasted so clean and fresh. Everything was so delicious. I will certainly come back here again.

The staff is incredibly rude and the sushi is overwhelmingly mediocre. They don’t offer the same courtesies as other restaurants when the food is gross. When my friend and I tried to send one item back that was mushy, we were treated as if we were trying to steal food. Not only did the waiter not take the item off the bill, he also bagged it up for us to go without our knowledge. The manager didn’t offer to remake it or ask what was wrong with it and instead pointed out the server’s error much to our surprise. We were forced to pay for nasty food we didn’t eat or desire to take home on the premise that we’re “wasting resources.” So we paid and left the item on the table. The server also never came to refill our drinks or check on us even though we were the only customers. Lastly, I’ve finally had my first experience getting yelled at by restaurant staff and you can have yours too if you decide to eat here. We notified them that we would post a review and the manager yelled at us again that we couldn’t do that while snatching the bagged items. I’m very disappointed and will NEVER come back.
