J. Sweets has beautiful Japanese confections! They have a wide variety of items like baumkuchen, senbei, oribenishiki, yokan, biscuits, and macarons. Most of their items are high quality and beautifully packaged, and are therefore more expensive. But they also have an adorable selection of mochi and mochi ice cream! It is located in Mitsuwa, right next to the Kinokuniya Bookstore.

Incredible soft mochi with amazing filling directly imported from Japan! All the tastes are authentic to flavor, especially the double mango, sesame, and green tea. They come frozen and need about 10 minutes to defrost. Credit accepted, free parking lot, quick pleasant service.

Really overpriced. They charge extra for cardboard boxes for mochi and the mochi is frozen so you have to wait to eat it.

J Sweets never disappoints. My favorite mochi flavor is peach. But I'd say that in general, everything is pretty great. I bought these peach flavored jellies which cost 18 each, and it was absolutely delicious! It resembled a peach in every way, texture, taste, etc. but a bit sweeter of course. They have fantastic mochi, and great gift wrapping. The boxes are sturdy so you can easily take it onto a flight. I also like the customer service; they tend to all requests, and also give samples for products you've never tried before (mainly wrapped, non-cold items though).
