Truly can't say enough about how great our experience with Main Event was. Spencer and Melissa made the tasting, planning, coordinating, organizing, and everything else incredibly easy in advance of the wedding. They always offered input, ideas, and feedback but were also more than happy to follow our lead. Without a doubt they were the best catering option among the 10 or so that our venue allowed. On the day of the wedding, the service staff was absolutely outstanding in every way. They were quick to set up, did everything perfectly, and transformed a tented terrace into a beautiful dining room. The food was astounding, the service was impeccable, the bar was great (we got countless compliments on our bartender), and breakdown was quick and easy. Main Event was a critical part of our special day, and they executed everything perfectly.

Spencer and his team were amazing at our tasting!! From start to finish they put out the “red carpet” and presented the most beautiful and delicious food options I’ve ever tasted! Such a first class experience! With such a wonderful tasting experience, we knew Main Event was the best choice for our wedding! The Main Event team ensured the food was perfect, drinks were always filled and no one needed anything. They took their jobs so seriously and made a personal connection with our guests, which meant the world to us! Thank you for the perfect day!

before hiring them for my wedding I went to a tasting at their headquarters. Food was amazing. I was super excited to share with my guest the food we had tasted and how amazing it was on the day of my wedding. When the day arrived the food was a disaster, it was not the rice I had requested. The rice looked like it was mashed potatoes, some of my guest had requested well done steak and the majority of them did not get that even though it was specified in their name cards. Let’s not talk about the desert table, there was NO Desert table. There were only 10 different macaroons on a plate. It was not what I expected and it was definitely not 13,000.00 dollars worth.

I want to thank Main Event Catering team for this exemplary service and amazing food. I recently planned a wedding for a couple in DC and MEC provided the food and assisted with set up and breakdown. The entire team was so helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely work with them again in the future!

Deceptively good tasting compared to the food and service at the wedding. We selected Main Event to cater our brunch wedding, despite being 2-7K more for less food than the other caterers we met with, because everything we tried at the tasting was amazing. The chefs are clearly capable of making good tasting food, but not serving it to 100 people. -We ordered french toast with maple syrup shooter. At the tasting they were served with an ample amount of maple syrup. At the wedding the glass they came in had about two drops in the bottom. -All of the entrees came out at room temperature, which was fine for the crab cake but disgusting for the eggs Benedict. I will say, aside from one guest complaining of shell in the crab cake, everyone said it was very good. However the Benedict looked as tasted terrible. The third entree option was a blintz, which was mediocre. -We were told not to worry about peoples drinks running low during the meal because we had 9 servers for 11 tables, but no one was filling drinks and my mom had to get up and ask them to start serving. -We ordered a selection of three doughnuts including a filled dulce de leche doughnut, which appeared to have been replaced with a caramel glazed doughnut. But no one told us this was happening or asked if we were OK with the change. -We provided the alcohol for the event and when they started packing up I asked what we needed to do to get all the left overs. They acted surprised and said if I wanted to take what was left over their staff would need to bring it down to our car. So it seems like if I hadn't asked they would have taken multiple cases of beer, wine, and hard liquor for themselves.
